Christopher Drummond Duo-Phase Concealer offers game-changing coverage!

It's often true that natural makeup products don't stack up to their chemical-filled counterparts. In the concealer department, I've tried ones that have pathetic coverage, slip off the face, crease like crazy in the eye area, or just can't cover discoloration. The idea that a natural liquid concealer could be high performance seemed almost preposterous to me. But here's Christopher Drummond Duo-Phase Concealer ($22.50 for 7g), a product that I could only describe as a game-changer.

Wondering about the Wonder Cloth?

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Wonder Cloth ($9.99), a washcloth that is supposed to easily remove makeup and excess oil with water alone. I love the idea getting a super-clean face without using any cleanser, so I put it to the test on my makeup-caked complexion.

Alaffia Neem & Shea Scalp Recovery Shampoo + Conditioner

Here's a fun little confession: I've been getting dandruff. The horror! I'd never had this issue before, but this winter seems to be an experiment for how my skin goes haywire when it's adapting to truly cold weather. I desperately wanted something to relieve the irritation, and Alaffia's Scalp Recovery hair care ($8.95 each, for 8 oz) was one of the few natural options that I found.

In Review: The Nourish Organic Fresh Fig line

Sometimes, when it comes to trying products, I have a collector's mindset, and I want to buy absolutely everything from a product line. I know that that's probably a terrible way of thinking, but I figure why not embrace the product junkie and do an overview post if I happen to try it all?

A smoothie for your locks

Herbal meets mainstream in Graydon's Hair Smoothie ($24 for 8 oz), a versatile conditioner that has a slick detangling texture and lots of natural oils and herbs. Instead of synthetic "cones", this conditioner utilizes broccoli seed oil, an ingredient that mimics the texture of silicones, yet is totally natural. Broccoli seed also has the added benefits of being rich in vitamin A and fatty acids. You can this product like like any other rinse-out conditioner, or dab a bit in the ends as a leave-in treatment if you have thicker hair.

Holiday Gift Idea: Zuzu Luxe Celestial Eye Palette in Pegasus

Loose minerals are obviously ubiquitous among natural brands, but more more and more I am leaning towards pressed makeup products. Their convenience and lack of mess is an obvious advantage, and if you look around, there are actually some pigmented options out there that are just as good as non-natural brands. I was particularly excited to see that Zuzu Luxe came out with three limited edition palettes for the holidays, and decided to try out the Celestial Eye Palette in Pegasus ($44.95).

Dr. Hauschka Liquid Eyeliner in Black

Lately I've been wanting really crisp black eyeliner, and I realized that I've never tried a natural liquid liner product yet. There aren't even a ton of green options out there, but the long established natural brand Dr. Hauschka makes one that comes in a gold tube. I am a huge fan of their Translucent Bronze Concentrate, so I decided to give their Liquid Eyeliner in Black ($21.95 for 0.14 oz) a shot.
